There are weekly prizes and incentives for participation. Tween & Teen Time – Tie-Dye and UpCycling Crafts
Tweens and Teens: Join Emily on Thursday, July 10th at 1 PM at the library for an afternoon of tie dye and upcycling crafts. Bring your old, boring clothes and transform them using tie dye and upcycling techniques. No clothes? No problem! We will have bandanas for all participants. Please register in advance so we can prepare supplies (and snacks 😉 )

Collage Class for Tweens, Teens and Adults
Tweens, Teens, and Adults: Join Kathryn Bevier of the Mill Art Center and Gallery, on Thursday, July 10th, from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM, at the Mendon Public Library Jacobs Family Reading Room, to create a special collage. Birds of Prey Demonstration at Wild Wings in Mendon Ponds Park

LEGO Club 5 Wednesdays in July
Join other LEGO builders this summer for 1 or all 5 Wednesdays in July, 2nd-30th, from 11 AM – 11:45 AM at Rotary Park (214 North Main Street, Honeoye Falls.) Each child will receive a box of LEGO bricks and a creative building prompt. Using their imagination, participants can build what is suggested, or build their own creation. Intended for children ages 6-12. A reservation for each session is required. Also, adults are encouraged to stay and assist those that aren’t independent LEGO builders yet, but do not need to register themselves.
LOTE (Languages Other Than English) for Kids
“LOTE for Kids!” (LOTE = Languages Other Than English) is another perk for Monroe County Library card holders: we have access to electronic children’s books in many popular languages. They also offer the LOTE4Kids app for your smartphone.

4 New Book Discussion Kits
The Mendon Public Library has 4 new book discussion kits! Each kit contains 7 copies of the book, assembled in a tote bag with 7 discussion guides for that title. The selected books are: Black Cake, by Charmaine Wilkerson; The Dictionary of Lost Words, by Pip Williams; Happiness Falls, by Angie Kim; and North Woods, by Daniel Mason. This addition to our collection is from the United for Libraries and Penguin Random House Grants to U.S. Rural and Small Libraries. The tote bags were donated by The Friends of Mendon Public Library.

Kanopy offers an expertly curated collection of films we think you will enjoy. We are pleased to bring this streaming service to our community.
