The artwork currently on display at the Mendon Public Library features over 25 beautiful creations by Mendon Public Library staff person Lori Mugnolo. A retired elementary school teacher, Lori is currently a student and member of the Mill Art Center & Gallery. All the work in this exhibit was produced during or following classes that Lori participated in at the Mill Art Center & Gallery. Lori said,
“There are a variety of techniques and mediums used to create this work. I was NEW to art classes after retirement and found a welcoming and supportive group of professional artists right here in our Honeoye Falls community! As a member of the Mendon Public Library staff and a member of the Mill Art Center & Gallery, it was a dream of mine to share the resources we have right here in the community for life-long learning and creative opportunities. ALSO: The Mill Art Center & Gallery is partnering with the library for an End of Summer Paint-Out on the Library Lawn, Saturday, September 13 (Rain Date September 20).
Drop in anytime between 10 AM – 1 PM, stay as long as you’d like! Folks of all ages can Join a community of artists who enjoy the beauty and spontaneity of working outdoors, also known as “en plein air!” All ages and skill levels are welcome. Kathryn Bevier from The Mill Art Center will be hosting and bringing plenty of kid-friendly art supplies. Feel free to bring your own art supplies if you’d like. All who attend will be invited to hang their finished works in the library art show!
