Floral Terrarium Workshop
Tweens, Teens and Adults: Bring nature indoors by crafting your own whimsical floral terrarium. On Saturday, May 18, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, you can learn how to build your very own self-sustaining floral terrarium. All supplies are provided, but you can bring your own decorative accents to give your terrarium a personal touch. Please register early; this program is limited to 15 registrants.

Tuesday Travel Talk – One World Goods
Teens and adults, join Shirley Youngblood here at the Mendon Public Library on Tuesday, May 28, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM for a special talk about travel and retail. Learn about the countries and artists that inspire the good that happens at the Fair Trade gift shop: One World Goods. Registration is requested.
Preview Our Summer Reading Programs Before June 25 Opening
Get a preview of our summer schedule so you can plan ahead for programs and events you would like to attend! Most registrations start on Tuesday, June 18th, but not all programs require registration. On Tuesday, June 25th Mendon Library will kick off Summer Reading 2024 theme “Adventure Begins At Your Library” with an Opening Party Magic Show “The Great Reading Adventure.” Summer Reading Passports (which replace reading logs and bingo boards used previous years) will be handed out at the library starting June 25th to all kids 12 and under. Weekly prizes are available as participants fill their passports. There will also be prize drawings for completed passports at the end of the Summer Reading Program in August. Adults and Teens can participate in Summer Reading prize drawings by submitting simple book reviews.
Meet Libby: Borrow E-Books
Adults: do you have a tablet or smartphone and are interested in accessing e-books and e-audiobooks for free? This program will cover the basics of using the Libby app, through which the library provides e-books and e-audiobooks. Learn how to search for titles, check books out, place books on hold, and much more! This program will be held on Thursday, June 6, from 10 AM – 11 AM in the Mendon Public Library Jacobs Family Reading Room. Advance registration is required. Please bring: your device and your library card (Please note: In order to use the Monroe County Library System’s e-book collection, you will need to have a blue MCLS library card.)
