Special Story Time – Getting to Know Our Jewish Neighbors

Child Programs, Recent News, Family Programs, Events

Preschool and Early Elementary School Kids with Adults:  Join us at the library on Friday, April 24th, 10 – 10:40 AM, for a special story time where we get to know our Jewish neighbors and learn about Passover.

Passover is an eight-day Jewish holiday. It is celebrated by abstaining from chametz (leavened bread) and eating matzah, an unleavened flatbread, to remember how the Israelites fled Egypt so quickly they didn’t have time for their bread to rise. The festival begins with a ceremonial meal called a Seder, where the story of the Exodus is retold.

Dalit, from The PJ Library, will share stories and crafts.

Please register for this special celebration story time.
