The Amerks Reading Power Play is returning for its 20th season! Including the Hat Trick Reading Challenge which runs through Saturday, January 31, 2026. Participants could win family tickets to the Sunday, February 15, 2026, home game!
Every 3 books earns an entry into the drawing (in hockey, a hat trick occurs when a player scores 3 goals in a single game.) Entry forms are available at the library, or view/print one HERE.
All forms must be submitted to an MCLS Member Library or Member Services at Amerks games by January 31, 2026.
Contest Rules:
- Children must be in grades K-12 to participate.
- You are entitled to one entry for every 3 books you read. The more you read the more entries you will have. The books must be appropriate for your reading level, and the entry must be signed by a parent, teacher, guardian or librarian.
- The winners will be drawn randomly from all entries submitted. 2 Grand Prize winners will be drawn.
- Grand Prize winners must be able to confirm their ability to attend the Rochester home game on Sunday, February 15, 2026. If you do not confirm your availability, another winner will be drawn.
- Grand Prize winners will be contacted by the Rochester Americans to finalize details.
