Teens and Adults. Join us at the library on Wednesday, May 20, 6:30 – 7:30 PM where we will hear from Trauma-Informed Somatic and Resiliency Life Coach, Kimberly Moore, as she teaches this community class. From a somatic lens Kimberly will help you:

  • Learn how to notice and identify what state the nervous system is in to increase their awareness of interoception
  • Gain a deeper understanding and education of what calm in our body feels like (the zone of tolerance) and what the survival modes feel like in our body
  • Learn what hyperarousal feels like (fight, flight)
  • Learn what hypoarousal feels like (freeze, fawn, flop); and
  • Learn 6 somatic exercises to take away as ready-to-go tools to bring students back to regulation and calm in their lives
