Mary joined the Library Board of Trustees in March of 2022 and served on the Policy Committee. She brings her legal skills to the Board from her work as an attorney, at both law firms and a private company. She also has plenty of business acumen to share from assisting with 2 local start-ups and several years of being Treasurer at her church.

Of joining the Board, Mary states:

“I joined the Board because I believe the library is a valuable town asset, and I want to assist the library to thrive and grow.”

Mary divides her time among her family, their small horse farm, and her pro bono legal work. She is also committed to improving the natural world/environment, and to advocating for sustainable practices.

When Mary was asked about her first memory of the Mendon Public Library, she recalled

“… taking my young children to the old library to get books. They loved the library and were all smiles!”

And of the current library, Mary remarks:

“My favorite part of the library is the area (both sides) around the fireplace, where patrons are invited to relax and socialize or read.”

Mary resides in the Town of Mendon. She has a daughter, a son, and a son and daughter-in-law with a grandson and granddaughter.
