Alison Zero Jones

Board of Trustees Bios

Alison joined the MPL Board of Trustees in 2021. She brings a wide range of knowledge to the Board, including an MBA from RIT, experience in marketing, market research, fundraising, public relations, event production, arts reporting. She has also been involved at other libraries, including the Emma S. Clark Memorial Library in NY, the Belk Library in NC, and the Milne Library in NY.

Alison feels

“… a strong desire to give back to the community in a way that united my passions and skills. The Mendon Public Library is a community convener and a hub for information and ideas – that’s something I want to get behind. My hope is for this community resource to thrive, and serving in a volunteer capacity provides me with the opportunity to attach action to aspiration. Openness and access are worth advocating for.”

Her talents have been shared with other community projects, such as the HF-L Diversity and Budget Committees, and the Causewave Community Partners.

Alison works as the Director of Corporate Sponsorship at WXXI Public Media/The Little Theater/CITY.

Alison lives in the Village of Honeoye Falls with her family: husband Trevor, daughter Willa, son Ewan, their rescue dachshund, and other furry and feathered friends. She enjoys hiking, gardening, travel, food/drink, and “making stuff.”
