Meet Lyla Grills, Mendon Public Library’s (MPL) Director. Lyla has over twenty years of experience in the Monroe County Library System. Previous to joining Mendon in August of 2021, she was the Young Adult librarian at Penfield Public Library.
The Mendon Public Library Board of Trustees was impressed with Lyla’s development of creative, inclusive programming for teens, ongoing Monroe County Library System committee service, and steadfast commitment to professional enrichment while working at the Penfield Public Library.
MPL Board of Trustees President Cristina Romig said, “Lyla’s service record is reflective of her spirit and dedication to enhancing the quality of life in the communities she serves. We are thrilled to have her join our library.”
