Following CDC guidelines for safe handling of materials, we are not accepting donations until further notice. To keep our staff safe, materials left outside the library, will not be brought into the library.
We appreciate you thinking of the Mendon Public Library when you downsize your living space, move away, or simply wish to reduce your collection of books, movies, music, etc. However, due to a lack of storage, the Friends will no longer be able to take donations at 15 Monroe Street. They will gladly take donations of newly published materials at 22 North Main Street. These newer titles will go in the book store located inside the library.
Please do not leave donations at the "old" library.
To help you decide if your items should be donated to us or shared with another charitable organization, we've provided the following guidelines:
After January 1, 2020, we welcome donations in good-to-excellent condition of these items:
- Fiction/non-fiction books
- Children's & young adult books
- Books on CD
- Music CDs
- Games & puzzles
- Vinyl records
Please give the following items to another charitable organization:
- VHS tapes and/or cassettes
- Reader's Digest Condensed books
- Computer books over three years old
- Damp or musty materials
