Mendon Public Library is pleased to share Bonnie Gamache’s photographs printed on canvas at the library through Labor Day. Bonnie loves nature. She loves walking in it and sitting in it, hearing the sounds of the wind in the trees and different songs of the birds. She loves taking her camera for a walk waiting for the light to lead her, in good weather and bad, with good friends. She loves the awe of capturing images that settle into her very being and sometimes nudging them through the editing process using digital software allowing her to further express what she actually felt. Bonnie explains that there’s a multitude of creative techniques that technology now offers, and one of her favorites is creating a painterly effect, reflected in some of her photographs. She says it’s been an honor to exhibit her work in numerous shows and galleries. Bonnie’s been involved in camera clubs and photo groups and has participated in many competitions, conferences and classes both locally and in Vermont where she leaved for 40 years before moving to Honeoye Falls. Bonnie says “It brings such joy to share my vision with you.”
For additional information and prices, she encourages folks to contact her at bongamache@aol.com or text/call 585.797-8773.
