Boaters, did you know that all folks operating a motorboat will have to have passed a Boaters Safety Course by 2025 to legally operate any boat with a motor? This year anyone born on or after January 1, 1983 is required to show proof of having passed the class, The Mendon Public Library is partnering with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary to offer the 8-hour Boat America Boater Safety class on Friday, April 7, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This will be real classroom time with an experienced instructor authorized by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. The classroom instruction time includes taking a written exam administered in class. The classroom session will review the important information you need for the exams. Upon the successful completion of all requirements, you will receive a certificate and wallet card in the mail within the week.
Class is open to 10-year-olds up through adults.
Registration is required.

- All funds support the Coast Guard Auxiliary operations
