Understanding Dementia Related Behaviors
Some dementia-related behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us in the Mendon Public Library Jacobs Family Reading Room on Thursday, May 2nd, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease. Star Gazing in Honeoye Falls
On Friday, June 14th, from 9 PM to 10:30 PM, Mendon Library will host local amateur astronomers who will present a special star gazing event at the Honeoye Falls Monroe Street Village Park (321 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls, NY 14472.) Residents of all ages, especially the young and the curious, are invited to attend. There will be several different types of telescopes setup to demonstrate each of their unique viewing specialties. TWO NOTES: (1) These events are weather dependent; check the library website 4 hours before the event to assure that conditions will be favorable for viewing.
